Quote from: lil chris on June 17, 2026, 08:19:51 PMJust got some good news today, following my checkup scan in May I have been told I am still all clear. For anyone who does not know I had cancer in 2023 and had a opperation, then had chemo in 2024 and was told all clear. So well happy, I had a feeling it would be ok because I was booked a telephone appointment, but still glad to find out proper. Been told by the hospital they will be keeping a check on me for the next 5 years, which is good to know.

Fantastic!!
Spend as little as possible on what you need so you can spend as much as possible on what you want.

Not really happy, more funny.
I was in Screwfix waiting to collect a few bits as was the lady in front of me. The member of staff brought out the 110mm x 3m soil pipe to which she said "I didn't think it would be that long, I've only got a small car". Just how long did she think a 3m pipe would be?

I had a similar experience a few years ago when I advertised a garden table and four chairs on Freecycle. A lady said she would have it, but when she turned up she was in a largish SUV with 2 children in child seats in the back and a boot full of stuff! She stood and scratched her head for a while, gave up and drove off. I think she was waiting for me to offer to deliver it. How we laughed... The woman who eventually took it turned up in a large van, with a practical, no-nonsense attitude about her!

Cheers,

Chris
