Just turned on the news and was shocked to hear Dolly has died. I'm not a huge country fan and I never bought any of her records but she was inspirational. There is a saying among my wife's musician friends "take your music seriously but don't take yourself seriously" and she was the essence of that. She has left a huge legacy and was the best of America.

RIP,

Cheers,

Chris

Train Waiting

I agree completely, Chris.

Here's an example, but not the one I quote from time to time on my layout thread:

Interviewer: "Miss Parton, how long does it take to do your hair for one of your performances?"

Dolly: "Shucks, Honey, I don't know because I'm never in the same room when they are doing it."

Thanks again.

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.
