Hi,

Is Robbies still trading please?

If yes, has anyone made a purchase recently?
And finally, how do his decals compare to Fox?

I am thinking of creating a rake of oil tankers.

Thanks guys
Steve.

Yes, he's still trading - I have a set of wagons from him which should be in the post.

Not sure about quality compared to Fox - I suspect Robbie uses transfer paper which is thicker than Fox's products. You pay your money and make your choice!

They are nice but a bit thicker and you'll need to work with decal softener or similar.

One word of warning - a couple of mine are now more than a decade old and they've suffered from some colour shifts so look a bit odd. Not sure why those specifically or if I did something dumb.

Hi. I've only ever used Fox for renumbering using individual numbers. I've done a lot of PO coal wagons using Robbies Rolling Stock decals but only three modified Peco tank wagons. I use Humbrol Decalfix and find it helps mould the decal to rivet details etc very well.
