I dont want to spoil anyones birthday celebrations, but is there a way I can avoid seeing Birthdays on the Calandar? The events are swamped by Birthday notices. I cant see an option to filter them out, although I am pretty certain it will be an option available to the webmaster.

I think there is also a small potential risk in terms of data protection (not the act) since birthdays are so often a part of online security screening and many people are displaying what appear to be their full names.

I am sure I am in the minority and will be labelled as a grumpy old man, (which would be a fair assessment of my general character) but I simply dont care when your birthday is. :hmmm:

Many Forum members look at this, and offer birthday wishes. You seem to be the only member who has a problem with it.

It is pretty swamped in MONTH view but if you use either LIST or WEEK view then it separates Birthdays and events and is pretty uncluttered then.

I didn't think anyone put real birthdates in them. Guess that's just coming from a tech background where nobody does!
