Sorry @njee20 I seem to have landed you a job.

However, if you are happy to provide and customise the carriage I'll co-ordinate and manage its distribution around the NGF network.

I'll drop @Tank a quick message to ensure that he is happy for this to proceed.

I quite like the idea of remembering departed members but I guess we have to be sure we don't miss anyone.  What do others think?
I suspect @Tank can provide the artwork for the NGF logo?
Final question is what will be the base colour?
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Bealman

Yes, I like the late members idea.

As do I, maybe something generic rather than specifics

I agree. There are a fair few names and we stand the chance of missing someone.
It's also  according to Tank, the 15th year of the NGF so he'd like to include a mention of that.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Yep.

I think a dedication and thanks in some form or other  for the Hard work that Tank and the Mods have achieved with 15 years of this great Forum would be a good idea, and maybe to include a mention of late members
Not sure how it could be worded small enough to go on the side of the coach .
The whole coach could be printed with the N Gauge Forum logo as at the top of the page and the message could be instead of where the locos are at the top of this page .
Just my pennies worth .
Regards to all involved and look forward to running the coach on my layout .
Bob

Can the roof be printed?

I'm worried that this will become too complicated, or certainly too crowded.  The windows on the coach will take up a fair amount of workable area.  Perhaps some words that would be inclusive to everyone?  This could be on one side, and celebrating a mighty 15 year anniversary on the other?

Firstone18

How about a Thompson full brake? Not many windows leaving plenty of space on the sides for graphics. GF 374-860 perhaps from one of the auction sites as a pre-owned item or maybe a 3D printed one?
Cheers!
Finally, after waiting over 55 years I am building a permanent layout in a purpose built shed!

Roof is doable, but sub-optimal, and I think may look a bit weird. They'll be waterslide decals, rather than vinyls. Obviously I can seal them, but they may still be a bit more prone to wear.

The Farish mk2, being a clear shell, can have as many or few windows as anyone wants, and I have a stack of them. If people have other suggestions that's totally fine, I'd sooner not get into trawling eBay for something personally, but if someone else wants to that's fine.

Bealman

That sounds great, no need to worry about the roof.

Nice of @Bob Tidbury to say it, but I don't think Mods need a mention and probably wouldn't expect anything. We're just stoopid volunteers
By all means a general thanks within the context of the 15th Anniversary for the forum and (a must) mention of the members who've passed away over the years e.g. gone but not forgotten
