Hi,

Can someone give me the length and width of an n gauge bus and/or coach ie road coach.

Want to do some scenery this weekend round the station entrance and I don't have a bus or coach yet and there's going to be a roundabout etc. Don't want people saying 'that'll never get round there!'.

Its a tight area but want to get it rightish. Thought I could cut a bit of wood to the dimensions and work with that.

Sorry if seems stupid but can't find lengths/widths on model sites and when you put in coaches it comes up with railway coaches.

Thanks Weave.

Maximum permitted sizes of buses have got bigger over time so what you need to allow depends on your era...

1930s - max 7'6" wide x 27' long
1950s - max 7'6" wide x 30' long
1970s - max 8' wide x 36' long (double deck) / 40' (single deck)
Current - max 2.55m (8'2") wide x 13m (42'8") long

[though if you are tight for space you could always use the Farish buses which are around 8% under size!]
