My sentiments too.  I was brought up on his comedy and remember it fondly.

A great performer from the golden age of British tv
sitcoms. I can recall seeing a repeat of an episode
when Peter Sellers appeared as a guest,
unbelievably funny.

Just re-watched the 1979 version of The Plank on YouTube, written and directed by the Man himself. Still hilarious after all these years, and all those great appearances by comedy legends. They must have had a blast making it.

Yep, RIP Mr Sykes. Bet the tellytubbies miss 'im too.
