Electra Graphics - family bereavement

Not wishing to appear insensitive but Electra's website has carried the following banner for some time now; "Due to a family bereavement, we have temporarily suspended new orders"

My wife and I have lost our respective mothers within the past twelve months so I have some idea of what they may be going through and they have my sympathy, but it seems the banner has now been up for an extended period which suggests to me it may be something more.

If anyone knows the position and are able to advise, I'd appreciate an update either here or via PM. Please, please, please, no rumours or "a friend of "X" said this" as that can only add to the families pain if they read this.

I have not heard anything about this but my thoughts go our to Luke and Kylie.

Apologies for resurrecting an old post but Electra has been quiet since July 2024. The website front page hasn't been updated but the images have been removed and it's still live so someone must be paying for it.

Does anyone know anything or have we permanently lost a valuable resource?

BTW, if anyone has any unmade Southern Region EMU or DEMU vinyls and is looking to dispose of them, please PM me.

I have not had any luck contacting Luke and Kylie over the last year or so. Companies House shows Electra as a going concern, so the ball is totally in their court.

If you are willing to draw up your own artwork then there are multiple online print companies who can print you small runs of "stickers" including white and transparent layers quite cheaply at this point although check their cutting accuracy as some of them are not so great.

For stuff like BR green and blue it's often really easy to put together artwork that's suitable. Some of the modern liveries though are a bit involved!

I also have had no replies.

Considering that a lot of the vinyles are designed to go with my kits it is making it difficult to know how to answer queries.

It's such a shame - Luke and Kylie were so full of enthusiasm for taking on Electra, even getting a brand-new printer. To go totally radio-silent is really worrying for me.
