Struggling with this. Is anyone able to kindly help with a step by step set of instructions, please?

Not a unit I own, but reading the manual online, it looks like you can set the base address by putting the unit in programming mode and firing the point address on your DCC system. The unit then picks that up as the base address and assigns the rest of the channels in sequence from that address. Quite a lot of multi-channel accessory decoders work in that way.

However I get the impression that any more complex programming (eg. setting to momentary for points or continuous output for signals) requires use of an ES-Link device and PC software?

On the DT602, press "S" to enter the points/accessory menu

Key in the starting address you want to use for the accessories on the YD8116 (this will then be the first address allocated, the next 7 addresses will be used for the other accessories connected)

Press the programming button to put the YD8116 into configuration mode. The red LED next to the button will light up continuously to indicate that the YD8116 is in configuration mode.

On the DT605 press either Ä" or "B" to activate the address.

That's it, you can then action any the addresses now allocated and the accessory should respond.

You can exit the accessory mode on the DT602 by pressing the "X" key bottom right.
