Exactly as it says above, does anyone know of any other body that fits the Farish Class 24 locomotive chassis ?
Am fairly new to the hobby and started off with the DCC set that includes the Class 24 Diesel model.
Any advice much appreciated.

It's chassis and bogeys are quite small, so maybe a Class 33 or Class 25 ?

The Class 25 is of the same 'family' (Derby Type 2) as the Class 24, just a later version, however the old Farish Cl.25 (late body) isn't that well detailed and the tanks between the bogies would be different too, though the bogies themselves are basically the same. Theoretically they should be the same length and bogie centres, but I've not actually compared the two directly. Langley used to do a kit version, but that isn't quite as good as the Farish 25 ...

Thanks for that, was thinking the Class 25 looked very similar so it might be worth a punt on a new body shell as a spare. There doesn't seem to be any spare parts available for the class 24 model either but one can't complain really when the package it came with was so reasonable.

The 24 and 25 are very close in theory. An accurate class 25 shell would fit a 24 body snugly. However the Poole class 25 shell is far from accurate so doesn't.

It's possible to convert the Farish 24 into a decent 25/0 or 25/1 however if you want to make it a different loco.
