cutting resin

if you want to make alterations to a resin scenecraft building, can you use a small hacksaw????!!!  any tips on doing this????

Never done this myself but I've seen reports in magazines that resin dust is hazardous... so don't be tempted to make a late-night start on your project until somebody wiser than me has posted more details!

Depends on the material but a facemask while doing it and a hoover up after might not be a bad idea.

Mind you that is true of a lot of materials once you start committing extreme violence on them, wood included !

Hi  Tim,

Follow  Alans advice above &   a razor saw for cutting is more accurate you'll   find.

might sound daft, but could you cut it with a wet surface, that would reduce the dust, though you'd need to keep wetting it.

a bit like dribbling oil onto a drill to lubricate and cool.

just a daft thought
