In the weekly email from Hattons i spotted some  Graham Farish locos for sale, does this mean they are now fully back to selling  Graham Farish products ?

See here in this link https://www.hattons.co.uk/stocklist/siteresults?search/sources/New/scales/N/brands/Graham%20Farish

It's possible - their website is currently showing 5 diesels and 7 carriages in stock, not flagged as pre-owned and all showing as  added to stock yesterday. 11/04/2023.

No. It's a limited range of brand new stock in small numbers that they've acquired from another retailer. I asked them directly this morning.

Could it be liquidated stock from another retailer who has closed I wonder, it does seem a bit of a random selection, and we're Hattons a fully franchised stockist I would have expected to see more of a complete range.

I'm sure that if Hatton's ever get the Bachmann franchise back they will make a very clear statement to that effect.

I wonder if the stock has a manufacturer's warranty if it has been sold on?
That would probably not worry Hattons as they appeared to be selling returned Class 28s as secondhand with faults rather than send them back to Rapido, but if you were a punter...?

I would very much doubt the items, even if brand new and never out of their boxes, will have any manufacturer warranty whatsoever given that Hattons are not an authorised Bachmann/Farish retailer, so a case of caveat emptor...

It's not a worry as the seller is liable for the warranty, not the manufacturer.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

In terms of refund that is true, in terms of replacement only if they have another from their sourced stock, in terms of repair that would have to go from Hattons back to Bachmann so not covered  :hmmm:.

But you won't have to send it back @Roy L S or pay for it to be repaired. Worse case is you get your money back.

Likely only case is you get your money back. They have no channels for repair or replacement. Not catastrophic, but not ideal, particularly as the items aren't priced particularly keenly. I'd have a 60 if it was markedly cheaper than other legitimate retailers, but it's not.

I think they're being a bit underhand declaring them as new. They're pre-owned, purely by another dealer, with "boxes in excellent condition".

In my best busybody mode, I've emailed Hattons pointing out that describing these items as "New" without disclosing the absence of a manufacturer warranty would likely be construed as misleading advertising.
