Possible to modify a Peco wagon ?

Hello.
I am considering buying this wagon from Peco: NR-39M

Do you know if I can get rid of the bolster and also replace the wood floor ?

The bolster just pulls off but the floor will be moulded with the 2 plank sides.

Would it not be easier to buy a chassis kit and scratch build your own 2 plank wagon around the floor of your choice???

As mentioned above, the bolster will pull off.

The planked deck could be filled and the filed/sanded flat, or a thin piece of plasticard/metal glued over the top.

I managed to file off the bolster pin and "turntable" to make these. Iwanted to retain a wooden deck so simply rescribed it.

I mainly used the flat file with the slightly upturned end. When no trace of the bolster etc. remained I rescribed the planks with the point of a craft knife using a steel ruler to make sure the lines were straight. Once happy with result a coat of slightly gloopy paint covered the worst of any remaining blemishes.
