Replacement Hymek arrived today and all is well with the world :)

Motto - don't accept a sub-standard new loco thinking it might improve. Just send it packing!

Farish 374-045 arrived ½ an hour ago...............

Lovely model but would have been £40 if not for some Xmas vouchers :o

Just the 374-587 Hawksworth FB to come but heaven only knows when that will be.

@mk1gtstu I'll get the 9 items I have packed and sent, Stu.

I got one too. Lovely subtle weathering.

Something I've noticed on my two is that the weathering is subtly different between them, especially noticeable on the roofs. I'm actually quite happy about that! I may, though, apply some frame dirt to the bogies - I'm not too keen on the light grey underframe weathering that Farish tend to apply. Very pleased to have finally received them.

Blue parcels vehicles returned from Stu's workbench today and a super job he's made of them too.
Compare with the 'before' shots earlier in the thread (pics courtesy of mk1gtstu).....

It's been some years since I posted in this thread but, sadly, my mental illness regarding this 'blue' stuff persists. Last week I recalled in the final days of my trainspotting blue Brush Type 2s (oh, OK, class 31s) lifting blue suburban stock out of Kings Cross station and into Gasworks Tunnel.
So........I placed an ad on the forum for a blue class 31 and suitable blue suburban coaches. Little did I know that @mk1gtstu would contact me and offer one of his superbly weathered and detailed locos. Thus I will be receiving soon the loco, leaving me just the coaches to source (ad on the Classifieds). They are 2nd Open (374-292) and 2nd brake (374-313). I seek 3 coaches so 2 of 1 and 1 of the other would be a great find.
Loco pics direct from Stu... (yes, that's a driver in the cab)

That's utter filth. I love it.

Very nice indeed, even though your dementia seems to be getting worse  ;)

Looks to me like you've actually seen the light, Nobby !

Bob G

It gets worse.

Not only does he have his coaches, but I have persuaded Mick to take a longer rake of five coaches, (just in case)  :whisper:

He'll soon be modelling Kings Cross in the 1970s, and I know he's always wanted a baby deltic  :D

Enjoy the rake of coaches when they arrive  8)

This is Pinza in 1976.

Newportnobby

Courtesy of Iain @Dalteth I do have a Baby Deltic, and my Farish Deltic is indeed 'Needles and Pinza' :)
