I saw this note in another Forum:

"From first of Jan 2022 I believe everything will be taxable and have any tariffs applied regardless of value."

Any further information available??

Everything is already taxable and has tariffs applied. It's just who collects the taxes. Below £135 it's the retailer, above that it's HMRC directly. I'm not aware of any change to this from January.

I think the rules about "everything is taxable" from 1 Jan 2022 applies to business/trade and deferred declarations, rather than private individuals?

Correct me if I am wrong and I think where Railwaygun maybe coming from: Would this mean an increase of the price of imported goods e.g Bachmann & Dapol?

No. Nick's link (that's ntp Nick, not Railwaygun Nick or me Nick :confused1:) is more about the fact you have to complete a customs declaration (and pay) before your goods will be released. Through 2021 this has been deferred. It's possible there could be additional delays at customs, but shouldn't mean additional charges.

Sorry Nick thanks for explaining, that's made things a bit more clear.
