BUT, what are they really ?

I suspect they are the ground component of a combined ground and air robot force attack, the air component cunningly disguised as drone delivery vehicles  :-\

mind you, don't expect any help from the government, if they can't, with the full power of the Royal Navy and the UK Border Force, stop a pile of rubber dinghy's crossing the channel to invade our shores, what chance do we have against the Robotic Invasion Force ?  :uneasy:

I know one thing, the first time I go to use the loo and find a periscope poking up above the surface there will be a full on chemical response [ok Tesco thick bleach] on the intruder. >:D

"you have an app on your phone "

thank goodness for non-smart flip phones, no apps and maybe we [the non users of smart phones] will be the only ones to survive this assault

Ok, I'll bite, what are they?

Oh, sorry. They're grocery delivery robots. They operate in certain areas in Milton Keynes. These particular ones are linked with a Co-Op store in West Bletchley. You go online, order your delivery, they turn up at your house and you have an app on your phone which unlocks them yo allow you to retrieve your order.

They have GPS, obviously, can detect cars/vehicles/pedestrians 360deg. They wait until its safe to cross a road, will stop to allow pedestrians to pass etc.

Just the thing when you're too idle to walk to the shop for fans and a beer.

They've already been causing problems for blind people when they jam up on the side of the road at pedestrian crossings.
My guess is it won't take long for the local wildlife to realise they have food in them and start ambushing them. (some parts of Australia area already apparently no fly zones for Amazon delivery drones due to bird attacks).

Oh now thats a hopeful thought (I'm also a flip phone using voluntary luddite, working in IT for decades does that to you I think!).  We have Bears, Cougars and enough Eagles to take on a carrier battlegroup.  Would love to see a bear in the middle of the road just sitting there all happily with one of these in its lap using it like a picnic hamper! :)

Really not getting this are you.

You have a phone...

...it's connected to a network...

...it has chips in it, even though it has no apps...

...signal triangulation?

I don't believe the T-800 had any 'apps' either.

Would you like me to draw you a picture?

:hmmm:

Sometimes you bite the dog...

I can explain it to you...

so if they have hacked into the forum, they are already tracking me  :-[ :'(

or is NGF just a front [after all our leader is called 'TANK'] which is using it to gain information on the intelligent, ie N gauge not the other lots, humans to ensure our removal in the first strike  ?

I'm off down to Tesco to buy a roll of cooking foil to wrap myself in to stop them reading my brain signals  :o

In other news...

Reports are coming in of major shortages of cooking foil.

Retailers spokesman Rob Otgod said, "We don't understand it, in the last hour alone all our members stores have sold out of aluminium foil. We weren't expecting anything like this until at least the week before Christmas. "

You can build cats with Arduino!?

Anyway, back on topic, it's common knowledge that "they" now embed 5G chips in alumnium foil. Just saying, like.
