Catenary Tension Mast Artwork Painting

I know it is a subject that has been done many many times :D, however I am a fan of catenary masts and want to have a go at painting one.

Reference photo taken in Munich in 2019.

Here's the drawing out stage. It's not easy!!

It's a very detail based painting, so taking a lot of time to build up!

A friend who saw this pic said it was a shame the BR101 was blocked by a mast. However the painting is of the mast, the IC is incidental!  :D

Looks really good Matt.  :thumbsup: You have a real talent.

What are the dark marks in the sky to the right of the mast wires? Birds? For me they rather draw the eye and so slightly detract from the overall effect.

And I'm okay with the IC in the background as it will leave the station soon anyway. :D

Thanks Daffy! Yes the train did leave shortly after I took the snap  :D

Ahhhhhh, the dark marks - they will make sense when, to use Nick's words, the knitting goes in! ;D
