I know it is a subject that has been done many many times , however I am a fan of catenary masts and want to have a go at painting one.

A friend who saw this pic said it was a shame the BR101 was blocked by a mast. However the painting is of the mast, the IC is incidental!

Hi I have used / experimented with https://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-and-body-repair/specialist-and-decorative-paints/halfords-galvanised-effect-spray-paint-300ml-252119.html   and plastikote fde aero aluminium aerosols in a well ventilated space. Looks good. Chris

Looks really good Matt.  You have a real talent.

What are the dark marks in the sky to the right of the mast wires? Birds? For me they rather draw the eye and so slightly detract from the overall effect.

And I'm okay with the IC in the background as it will leave the station soon anyway.
