Hi All,

I am painting up some little woodland animals for my "Christmas Cracker " layout, and in one set were these two mice ....



As I now have two layouts, I think it will be fun to put one on each layout (although they are overscale for "Windmill Hill " and might frighten the residents there).

If we get to the stage of live exhibitions it may be fun for people to try and find them, like we do with the paintings.

However for the life of me I can't remember the painters name. 

I'm sure someone here could remind me

My brother-in-law has one of his paintings, and could I find the mouse?  After an hour I gave up.
It was sitting in place of, and exactly the same size as, one of the 60 isolators on the nearest telegraph pole.
If it ever climbs down from there I'll get my revenge!

For those of long memory, some of his paintings were used as the cover of the Triang railway annual catalogues, including, IIRC, the mouse as an insulator. This was probably early 70s.

And if I remember correctly the loco is 92220 Evening Star, it was used on the cover of the Hornby catalogue when they introduced their Evening Star model.

The one I've never been able to find is in his painting of the Coronation - The Queen's one in 1953, not a locomotive.
