One for @Tank : https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p833467656

Described as "EMU in the style of British Railways - freelance design". Sadly the auction has finished.

;D  Looks like it's struggling to be a Class 313!   :thankyousign:

To me it looks like it was a repainted Tomix KiHa 187. They're a two or three car Japanese DMU which have something of the style of a Class 158/159 about them.

I thought it made quite a good looking PEP type, especially at a distamce. A bit more work and it would be even more convincing

I think PEPs had an angular front end, lots more doors and curved sides below the window line like a Mk3 carriage. I'd maybe wait for Revolution's 313/314. Unless you can find a suitable Japanese unit going for a low price in auction or on Ebay. Something like the Kato JR Kyushu 813 Series could make for a good starting point. But as it's quite a recent release it's not particularly cheap. Another option could be a body kit from www.electrarail.co.uk but you'd need to source a suitable motorised chassis to complete it.

I don't think anyone actually wants it Flange Squeal, it's just a jokey thread as I love NSE livery, and this happens to look like it. ;)

Definitely not a KiHa 187; the underframe detail is clearly from an EMU; not sure what the body is from, it's not one I recognise, might be hacked together from parts.

I did consider bidding (might have been worth it for the motorized chassis, if nothing else ;) ), but missed the deadline. It only went for the equivalent of a couple of quid.
