Train Waiting

Annoyed by the way bogie-mounted buffer beams on diesels can look odd on curves? No worries:

No wonder they gave these locomotives oval buffer heads!

Thank you for that picture which brought back a lot of memories.  Two signal boxes and four different locomotive classes 'on shed' at Lochgorm.  And Rose Street multi-storey car park looks like it has just been taken out of the box!

You have made me nostalgic (almost!) for these days of BR blue.  By the way, the EE 'Type 4' diesels were rather underpowered for the Perth Road and were replaced on these workings by Brush 'Type 4' locomotives, one of which is seen in the picture.

Thanks again and all best wishes.

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.

Modelling a Netherlands scene and need to plug a hole in your dike? Just use a spare multiple unit driving car:

A worrying sight for the infrequent commuter unaware of the backstory.  :worried: It looks they've fenced off a kinda viewing platform on the roof - a cool railfanning spot!  :camera:

Ahem, I kinda suspect the fencing is to prevent people using ut as a way to get over the other fence.

...sometimes the dog bites you!

I can explain it to you...

Definitely not a viewing platform - that would have had a three-sided fence on the roof, not just two-sides and an unfenced side.
