Chuck Yeager, 'The Fastest Man Alive', has passed away at 97.

What a legend.

Sometimes you bite the dog...

...sometimes the dog bites you!

I can explain it to you...

...but I can't understand it for you.

In my youth I avidly followed his career. One of the many influences - but one of the most tangible - to affect my joining the RAF.

He was definitely made of 'The Right Stuff'!

RIP Chuck Yeager, Sir

Southerngooner

Definitely one of my heroes, made more so after reading "The Right Stuff". Great film too, one of the best books to film that I've seen. A very different era to today......
