Kato release dates

Having just pre-ordered a GWR IET 800 I got to wondering, what are Kato like on their release dates? Does the usual Japanese efficiency come into play and they are on time, or are they a little like Farish and Dapol where the release date slips?

With Kato and Tomix, the majority of releases do happen in the advertised month, though you do sometimes get a bit of slippage by a month or at worst two.

Might be some 'slippage' over the coming months due to factors beyond Kato's control, like the Covid situation and the 'new improved' import checking by Royal Mail (or whoever does it) that seems to be substantially slowing Customs clearance here in the UK.

All in all though I've found their release dating very good thus far.
