Not sure what the point of your post is. It seems to provoke more questions than answers in my mind. Size is not the only determinant of shipping cost, especially where additional insurance is desirable and/or a receiver's signature.

Would you ship a Cartier watch for the same price as bag containing a few coins?

Could be down to how the item was listed in their database, and how shipping charges are calculated based on the info stored against the item(s).  We don't know if it's truly size and/or weight based based on info entered, or simply a carriage category or option set against the item. Either way such seeming discrepancies are probably simply human error in the info.

Sorry, missed the reference to ebay the first time I read. Have you compared the ebay price with the price direct from their web site?  If you need multiple items it may be easier to get combined postage via the web site.

A link would have been really useful.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=peters+spares+peco+jubilee&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=0&_odkw=peters+spare+peco+jubilee

Would have avoided anyone missing the ebay reference, for example.

I have used Peters Spares for Jubilee spares amongst other bits n bobs.
Always found them to be reliable with prompt delivery.

You can never have to many Warships!

Why not just phone up and ask for an explanation? Or send an email? I'm sure there must be a reason for their pricing policy.

I've always found them very helpful.

Cheers,

Chris
