RIP Nobby 'The Toothless Tiger' Stiles

We've had a totally news-less day today with the kids visiting to (social distantly) celebrate their Mum's birthday. To look at my phone now and read of Nobby Stiles passing has really affected me. His death follows a long battle with prostate cancer and advanced dementia.

I  was never fortunate enough to see him play live. But I've watched 'that match'  many, many times and for my money he won the World Cup in '66 not England. I reckon Eusébio would agree.

My wife was nursing him a couple of years ago, until she had to quit work due to ill health.
