Hello those downunder.

During this pandemic one of my libraries has increased its variety of magazines available online.

Hornsby elibrary now has Model Rail, Model Railroader, Australian Model Railway, as well as The Classic Motorcycle, Classic Bike Guide and others available on its eMagazines service You might be able to join online and get a library card number, without having to front up to the library. It's free.

I also get free mp3 tracks from the Freegal service from Hornsby.

That's good to know! My wife is already a card-carrying member, which means you don't need to be a Hornsby Shire resident. We live in Ku-ring-gai. I will be grabbing a look at the Australian Model Railway Magazine. I don't subscribe because, as a UK outline modeller who buys most equipment from UK, the AMRM isn't relevant to me, but it is good to know occasionally what is going on in the local market. Usually things cost far more here, so my local hobby shop is a drop-in for all the sundry landscaping material.

Incidentally, I was just looking for a source of 1.5mm cork sheet, and I was delighted to find that it was much cheaper from Aussie Hobbyco than from UK or from local cork specialty stores. It's always worth a look!

Not sure if they will let us Victorians in, but will have to check my local library when it opens.

Always used to enjoy rummaging around in Hobbyco when I was in Sydney. The cafe just outside was one of my favourite places to have coffee with colleagues.

I think most are like that, not needing to work or live in the LGA.
Sydney libraries are terrific for CDs and DVDs as well as the online resources.
I've just done a count of my library cards and I'm a member at 9 different local government libraries.
