Does any one know of a supplier for mini trex spares, I have several locos that need the plastic gears between the brass ones,

Obviously spares for old Minitrix models from the 60s, 70s, 80s (which covers the UK models) are much less likely to be available.  Which locos are they for?  You'd need to be very precise with the part numbers, referring to the service sheets is the best way.

Minitrix spares are available from Trix themselves.  Some UK shops can probably order them for you (eg. Gaugemaster maybe?)  There are also web sites such as as spur-n-teile.de who seem to break up broken models to recover spares.

To be honest with the old models you're usually better off finding a scrap loco on ebay etc. Somebody on here might have what you need?

Begs the question, you say you have several locos needing replacement plastic gears - what's happened to cause that much damage?  They're usually pretty robust.  Over-oiling perhaps - that can destroy some plastics?

Many thanks for a swift reply,
These locos belong to my best Friend who has passed away,
There are nine minitrix  6 of these just needed a clean and oil.
I do not have any service data on these locos. I still have several Lima's and farish poole And China, some of these I never knew he had.

Dr Al

Which locos and which parts specifically? I have some Minitrix spares.

Cheers,
Alan

That should be N207. Nice models in their day, good haulers and able to cope with tight curves. Severe compromises with the looks, mostly due to the German loco chassis.

The only Minitrix British 0-6-0T was the little Dock Tank N201, which I wouldn't personally describe as looking anything like a 94xx myself. Are you sure it's a Minitrix model, like this one?

Dr Al

If it's a 94xx then that is a Farish model.

Photos would help - plus photos of the locations you thing parts are missing from, so folks can confirm.

Cheers,
Alan

Not uncommon for newer members to struggle.  There are various ways of adding photos, but I still reckon the simplest way to get a photo added and included into your post is to use the "add image" link right above this text box.

... and then when the pop-up appears, enter some info and choose your photo. You can either use the top half of the pop-up and add to Random Photos, or you can use the bottom half and add to "My Gallery"

It's perfectly easy once you know how, but I don't think the forum pages make it clear what to use, plus people who use other forums will usually expect the "Attachments and other options" to be the place to add photos - but that's not the case here!

Presumably you're responding to posts received as email digests rather than using the forum online?  Must admit I've never opted for email digests on any forum I frequent. Too much clutter in the inbox
