2 glasses of Kir (white wine + creme de cassis) for the aperitif then 2 glasses of red wine with lunch/dinner so total 8 glasses per day.

I would only start worrying if you add breakfast to those 2 meals :worried:

Still the occasional glass of mead in the evening or alcoholic ginger beer for thirst quenching during/after a bit of gardening

Normally one large whisky on a Saturday evening,  unless doing heavy work in the garden.  Then a can of cider during that.
Of course as I'm not working for the duration ,  everyday is a gardening day,  and there's a lot of Saturdays..

I alternate my evenings with a couple of fingers of either Baileys or Southern Comfort.
Mind you...............................

I've discovered an enhancement for custard on puddings - a dash of Advocaat, doesn't need much, I reckon a bottle should last me about a month or so.

I think I need to drink more.........

90+ beers in the cupboard plus a dozen or so in the chiller and around 20 in the loft beer fridge. Should last a couple of weeks yet  :P

Mr Sprue

I've stopped myself from buying spirits, I started to find it pretty easy to consume a litre of gin over 7 days which ain't good.  I do love a G&T but its far better to be biting your knuckles to resist when you pass the booze aisle in the supermarket rather than pickling your liver.

SWIMBO is doing well on the wine though, she's already on her 4th bottle this week! :worried:

Coffee in the VW this morning.
Even if it is only the bottom of our garden.

Plus.....treated Bertie to a polish and spring clean plus a whole 2 mile spin around the block to make sure he doesn't seize up (Unlike me 😄).

I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Bertie looks stunning Martin. and seems to be in superb condition. I love the T2 eyebrows.

Nice.  Good job I'm not the stalker type as I've just found Bertie on Google maps

Mr Sprue

Lovely example of a Westfalia  I once'd owned a Helsinki Left hooker originally owned by a German professor, I was the fourth owner. Had an AP 1.8 engine which in my opinion was probably one of the smoothest and best air cooled engines VW made.

I have the added delight of being shielded - it's proving expensive as it gives me too much time to shop.   :)

Back to work tomorrow, the oil and gas industry is important to keep the lights on and fuel on the forecourts so they need their gauges and pressure sensors calibrated and monitoring systems re-furbished and rebuilt so yours truly will be back in the workshop this week
