so, just seen on the news that the government seems set to force over 70s to self isolate FOR UP TO FOUR MONTHS

what a load of round spherical objects

firstly, are we going to die of starvation, all the panicking greedy  :censored: have emptied the shelves for the last couple of weeks, so no chance to even replace what has been used never mind stock up for four months ..and this is just going to generate even more panic buying

how are repeat subscriptions going to be sourced by those that need them ....

only good thing is I can SORN  my car and stop paying road tax to destroy my car driving along roads that councils can't be arsed to keep fit for purpose

perhaps the idea is that we'll all lose the will to live, and save the government billions in pension payments  :'(

Super markets will be making a mint delivering, with Tesco if your bill is under £40 they charge £8, £4 for pick and pack and £4 for delivery OR click and collect; just what we pensionners need, I can't see bojo
(washes mouth out) picking up that expense, he just wants rid of us so he can raid the pension funds;
(thinks, shouldn't put ideas into what passes for a head.)
Cheers MIKE

How many roads must a man walk down ... ... ... ... ... before he knows he's lost!

suppose we'll have to stich some sort of emblem on our sleeves next, so we can be identified..

if they want me to self isolate they can deliver, FOC, my food and drink each week, otherwise SOD them.

lets be honest, most of the house of parliament and house of lords will be isolated as well, that should solve the problem.

yet another knee jerk reaction with sod all thought or planning, just inciting even more panic.

my husky could do a better job

I am only 53, but I would love to self-isolate. My wife is at high risk due to having asthma and being on immuno-suppressive drugs due to an auto-immune disease. Me going out to work each day and the kids going to school (especially on the bus) is risking bringing it back to her. However, unless the government close the schools, my children would fall too far behind the rest and, unless the government instruct companies to allow people to work from home, I'd not get paid a penny - and having lost my wife's income due to her health problems, I cannot afford not to work.

Well I suppose that is the upside of this since it seems to take out the elderly and infirm. :D
Just need a virus to target the homeless, greens, atheists, homosexuals, unemployed, labor voters and single mums to make our liberal/national government very happy. :smiley-laughing:
It is an ill wind that blows nobody any good.

I did see an ad already for online / home delivery of prescriptions in Oz.  I am sure this would be taken up by pharmacies world wide.
Here in Oz doctors could revert to repeat prescriptions without a consultation via phone or now online and post them out or pdf via e-mail.  Slim chance though.

our local surgery wants you to do repeat prescriptions on line, can't do them over the phone, or you have to go into the surgery and fill in a form ...

oh, hang on,

just had a text saying don't go to the surgery, phone first even if you have an appointment

left hand ... right hand ....

looks like the only  :censored: aren't only in parliament
