How many of us model the Maunsell green period on the Southern? Intrigued to see if there are any others as mad as me!

How many Lord Nelsons, H15s, N15s/King Arthurs, S15s, Drummond locos apart from UM T9 and 700 or Adams apart UM 0395s, any ex LBSC or SECR except Farish C class and Dapol Terrier?

I claim 2 Nelsons hacked from Peco Jubilees with stretched  UM drives, 2 H15s BHE N15 kit on Minitrix chassis , 1 N15 on Jubilee chassis with stretched UM tender drive and 2 S15, 1 straight Langley/Fleischmann the other BHE N15 kit hacked on Fleischmann loco chassis and stretched UM drive, a Farish N class has become an N1; A Drummond K10  scratch built with UM drive, and Adams A12 also scratch built with UM drive. Working on more "15s" mixing and matching Langley and BHE kits and different chassis, another Nelson from a Farish Jubilee, an M7 to T1 bash. I've also got a Schools with damaged valve gear which I'm tempted to hack into a Drummond D15 or L 12. 3 of my M7s are converted to push pull versions and can pull 10+ Dapol Maunsells, A Farish 4F hacked to a Q. Some of the old Farish "suburbans" are now 50' push pull sets. Other kits include a Z class 0-8-0T and an S&DJR 7F 2-8-0.

I do have some RTR, 2 Schools, 2 N class 2-6-0s,  UM  2x700s, 1 0395, 1 T9, plus some S&DJR visitors 2P, 3F and 4F, a GWR 1366 borrowed from Weymouth shed. Still in the drawing office a couple of Shapeways 2-6-4Ts a W and a K class River and a Drummond F9 AKA the bug inspection saloon.

I model LMS but I like Southern locos.

I have a C Class, an M7 and a Schools Class.

I'm waiting patiently for the Dapol light pacific and I would definitely buy a King Arthur and a Lord Nelson should they become available RTR.

i am more of a modern image man but i do have a soft spot for the southern as i live in kent and i have collected most if not all rtr southern items over time as well as local  ie kent , sussex, surry, london po wagons , would like to do a small layout to run them but mostly run on club nights or put in collection on the wall ,   ps would be nice if hornby might do the 2bil or 2hal  as these would be great to run along side the steamers and brighton belle  1934 of course. king arthur would be nice

I'm a great Southern fan but post war rather than pre-war. But I would happily strip and respray any of @Dorsetmike 's lovely models into post war liveries :)

When I started modelling I never imagined we would have Maunsell or Bulleid coaches RTR.
I'd love some of the older 4-6-0s RTR. Lord Nelsons, and Maunsell/Urie designs.
I wish Dapol could make their mechanisms as reliable as the Farish ones, as Dapol seems to be Southern friendly, product wise.
And I wish Farish would stop producing fancy SECR preserved locos and make more commonplace LSWR ones.
I like resin kits, and the Maunsell shunter on the 08 chassis is lovely. I have two!
Like @Dorsetmike I have a W 3D print and an N chassis, waiting to get brave and saw a slot for the chassis into the boiler without wrecking the print totally.
All I have managed to do so far is gently remove the characteristic steps :)
I do have a 3D printed Leader. probably the best designed 3D model I've ever come across. But I still like whitemetal kits. There is something about them. Like pre-war Hornby tinplate.

I have so many drawers of incomplete EMU kits that I really need to retire and start building them. I have @BernardTPM 's inlaid window SR EMUs a plenty - 4-CIGs/4-VEPs and resin cab fronts for corridor and non-corridor stock. If you have any bits left over @BernardTPM I will have them so please PM me :). BHE brass sides for 4-REPs and 4-TCs. I'm going to cannibalise two Farish 4-CEPs to make a REP/TC set, so look away now if you are looking for good examples as they will suffer some serious surgery.

Ah the plans of mice and men. I really do need to retire, but I'm not even 60.
Best
Bob

Just got another Fleischmann 7160 "non runner" from Ebay, just needed a drop of oil, straightening the motion, and adjusting pickups, still needs wheels cleaning. A Langley S15 kit arrived this morning, bit annoyed that their advertised 10% off "Febdeal" does not apply to Paypal transactions.

Contemplating using the Fleischmann tender drive behind a UM T9 as 337 0r 338 then use the UM drive under a BHE N15 tender kit with an added pair of wheels behind the Langley/Fleischmann loco with cab and running plate modified to Maunsell version S15 or use a Minitrix 4-6-0 chassis with the Fleischmann motion for an H15

I started N gauge in 1977 with Graham Farish 'Southern' locomotives Merchant Navy 4-6-2 21C17 'Belgian Marine', Merchant Navy 4-6-2 21C1 'Channel Packet' Golden Arrow, 0-6-0T 187, General Purpose 0-6-0T 2579 but added LMS and S&DJR due to the limited range of 'Southern' RTR locomotives. Subsequent additions are Graham Farish West Country 4-6-2 21C101 'Exeter', Class N 2-6-0 868 and C Class 0-6-0 1294, Dapol M7 0-4-4T 676 & 30, Terrier 0-6-0T 2662 & 'Freshwater' 8, Q1 0-6-0 C1 & C7, Schools 4-4-0 'Merchant Taylors' 910 & 'Wellington' 902. I have an Hornby/Arnold 5-BEL set. I would be interested if Hornby/Arnold would produce other 'Southern' electric sets in N gauge such as 2-BIL, 2-HAL or 4-COR sets. I am considering buying some Union Mills Southern locomotives as I have one LMS locomotive.
I have Graham Farish 'Southern' and Pullman coaches plus the recent Birdcage coaches together with Dapol Maunsell coaches. Its a pity Graham Farish didn't produce an earlier diagram of Bullied coaches so they could be available in the 'Southern' livery.

@Bob G, I'm in a similar position re number of kits to finish, numerous 4-6-0s, and now the  Maunsell open 3rds and ironclad restaurant cars, you can also add Z class 0-8-0T, S&D 7F 2-8-0 and M7 to T1 hack, I'd also like some other Drummond 4-4-0s and maybe even an Adams 4-4-0. But I'm long retired so don't really have Bob's excuse.
Then there's the spare room filled with all sorts of stuff from Amazon boxes to unwanted furniture not to mention lots of bits for a layout which I hope to start when I've got rid of the junk. Then maybe I can also move my work bench out of the living room. I sometimes wonder where my get up and go went to!
