So looking forward to this, will be brilliant for the county, at last Cornwall Council have done something right  ;)

Be good for me as a viewer too. The scenery is a major part of what makes tours such great TV. :beers:

Philip.

I've heard it's a sprint through Redruth, you don't want to hang about there  :smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing:

Only joking  ;)

That won't take long  :D
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

must have been asleep for that lesson at school, always thought Cornwall was in England, not France  ;D

obviously yet another excuse to make more money.

of course, by then we may not be in the EU, as we voted 3 years ago, wonder if that would make any difference.

1) you obviously missed the lesson on reading

2) the Tour de France (which wasn't mentioned) has often (indeed usually) started outside of France, including in the UK, most recently in 2007

I went and watched it, you'd think I'd remember

In my defence I also watched the prologue in 2007, versus the road stage in 2014, but still...!

Saw the ToB in 2012 right at the top of a local 25% climb too, I feared they'd make it look easy, but luckily they didn't. Cav (in the rainbow stripes) wasn't looking happy, got a hell of a cheer though!

If they do as good a job as the scenic coverage of the TdF it'll be great. My wife and I watch every stage of the TdF, as much for the aerial and scenic shots as for the race. It's going to be sad watching the next Tour without Paul though.
