Back to the OP - I have seen the Rails of Sheffield news sheets and been gobsmacked by the price of the 00 set, although it does look very nice. There are all sorts of bigger stuff a lot of us woulld like to see shrunk to the proper gauge but I don't see it happening quickly. We're still waiting for the Blue Pullman

Used to travel quite often on the Brighton Belle back in the very early 1950s, not a bad old train.

I too rode it a couple of times in the 50's........externally it was only a flash painted set, it was very nice inside, but that will all be lost in "N", and it's severely lacking in "N" operational interest!!

It is an iconic train. The only electric pullman and it is being restored to run on the main lines. And it is such a smart looking train.

Compared to the amount of diesel and steam, us EMU fans don't have much to cheer about from Dapol and Farish. I would buy the BB - despite my reservations about Farish and Dapol.
