Has anyone constructed a model from the kit for a Gasometer produced by N Scenics?
If so, what is the kit made of, how easy is it to make and are you pleased with the result?

Hello Maurice,
a little help to you, have look at the link below.
It looks not really easy so much small parts, i do not know your skill level.
i like gasworks theme, for me it is easy because i have the Hornby Lyddle End Gasworks complete.
And have also a look at Markenburg Model Netherland, they have also a complete Gaswork including a Gasometer ( Gasboiler ? )
And least look to DM Toys, they Gasworks Buildings but no Gasometer.

 Hi I bought the N scenic Gasometer.  DISASTER!!!

It was a very difficult build and I never got the inner part , the actual gasholder too fit.  I emailed for assistance in perhaps obtaining some replacement panels but did not get any response.

I also was dissapointed in the size.  In the end I bought the OO scale version which did build OK and looks the part.

I wanted something to fill a space in a steam engine shed layout that could stand alone.
I shall think of another subject.

Watched the you tube link on the gasometer build, looks trick but doable, seems to be a few points where it would be easy to go wrong and fit the holding pieces outside the tanks and not inside otherwise I think they look great - also reduced by £10 to £14.99 on their website.

 Reading Fardap's post I looked for the video.

The design HAS BEEN CHANGED, before the tanks were assembled using square pieces that fitted together like a nightmare jigsaw.

The video shows a simple smoother style covering.  So It may be somewhat better now.
