Call up the google page you want as your home page.
Click on the Internet Explorer Tools icon (cog wheel top right) to bring up the menu
Click Internet Options
On the General Tab, click the "Use Current" button to set your home page

I'm moving away from using Internet Explorer nowadays, it's getting very slow and unresponsive to web page scripts. I use Chrome.  I didn't like Edge when I tried it and also it wouldn't work with the admin login page for my network media streamer.

If you are using Microsoft Edge (the default browser in Windows 10)

click on the three dots in the top right hand corner, this will opena menu, select settings

under the text 'Opend Microsoft Edge with' select A specific page or pages. Then add a page for Google.

Many thanks for your help.
