No more "Windmill Hill" photos ? Having a bit of a problem

Hi,

I have just tried to add a couple of photos to my "Windmill Hill" layout construction thread, but seem to have hit a problem 

Only one of the two pictures is showing. I see there is an upload limit, maybe I have reached that 

I tried uploading the picture to a few different galleries, one of mine that only has 5 photos in it, another with a hundred and something photos, and also the random members gallery.

Can anyone please help, or advise, or am I not able to put anymore photos up without deleting all my pictures and starting again ?

Have you put any punctuation in the name of the pics, Kevin? I know it won't accept apostrophies etc

Hi Mick,

No punctuation or symbols in the picture titles, just letters and numbers as in all my photos.

Hi there,

I have just tried again to add a picture to the random gallery, and to two of my galleries with no luck.

Every time, and on every gallery I get the message ....

Quota limit 290MB
Quota space used 289.93MB
Quota space left 70.25kB

I am trying to upload the photos from a folder on my lap top.

Any ideas ?

Looks like you've used all your quota Kevin, barring 70 kb. So you could still probably upload a low res scan of a postage stamp.

I thought that limit was for each gallery, not the total limit.

Is there any war round it apart from deleting a load of photos.

A forum for another hobby I used to post on had  limit on picture size so I do know how to re-size photos using irfanview.

Can you rederence fotos from another users galleries? Then you just need another email address to open a nnew a ccount with another 300 MB...

The photos I have been posting do seem pretty big. Do you think it would be better if in future I re-sized them before posting ?

As per our rules multiple accounts are fround apon.....

I added a 500mb limit to the OP.... it might take 24hours to kick in or i might have fopared.... cant check now until tomorrow im afraid

Correct. Multiple accounts are not a thing to do... but in such a special case, it might be an idea to create such a storage-account...
