Cavalex and Accurascale are working together on this, I'm just thankful that they have never operated around Wigan and Central Lancashire, yet!

Are they? I've not read that at all. The thread covers both gauges, yes, but i'd not seen anything about Accurascale being involved.

Sure you're not thinking of the mk5 coaches where Accurascale are doing the OO gauge ones and Revolution are doing N?

It is really poor timing for Cavalex to be redoing their website; don't get that at a, they've launched at least 6 products across 2 gauges announced recently and no information available.

It's Cavalex, not Cavalax - it's Cavan Millward and Alex whose surname I don't know; RBE and GrimleyGrid on RMWeb (and Cav's on here too).

Unfortunately the topic on here does not have Class in the title. A search for "Cavalex 91" throws it up, and using the Google search function on here "Cavalex Class 91" gives the topic as the first result. Nothing's simple is it?

The class 91 & Mk4s managed to get to Manchester. At least one train ran to promote Manchester's bid for the Olympics; Not sure if this is the same train or another occurance (possibly the latter if the caption's correct):

For what it's worth I had a chat with the Cav half of this Enterprise last Saturday at Trainwest (showing the excellent Burton on Trent).

The determination to produce a quality product was obvious, as was the wish to do sensible things with packaging. Of course all the coaches, DVT and loco are to be offered at the same time, but there are thoughts about booksets vs individual items.

There are advantages to both, but selling the loco on its own would offer a cheaper alternative and the 91 could still be used as the basis for those HST sets with one power car providing the "surrogate DVT" role.

Or allow folks to upgrade their Farish loco/DVT and retain any existing Mk4s they have - buying full trains is increasingly expensive these days!
