On a separate note, do I recall someone on the forum making 4 or 6 wheel coaches by carving up some Farish generic choc/cream bogie coaches? Maybe I overdid the meds that day. Nurse!


You're right, someone was making 4 wheel coaches by cutting up bogie coaches. It was Zwilnik and here's a link to the relevant thread; http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=32970.0

I made some in a similar way once based on an article in a 2001 issue of Railway Modeller. I intend making a couple more one day, but don't know when.

thank you . Not sure about cutting up wagons ,will probably go for the peco chassis kits and modify
