like George @Bealman I am fortunate enough to have not caught the attention of Mr Plod. However I can't say the same for my children or grandchildren.
The points systems are different in each state, however commit a speed offence in one and it will be reported back to your home state.
According to my granddaughter you get 12 points, and in Victoria if you lose all 12, you can either choose to lose your licence for 3mths or you get a "golden" point which allows you to continue driving, but if you lose that you lose your licence for 12mths.
How does the youngest member of my family know this as she is only one who has had to resort to a golden point.  :doh:  :doh:
