People do that. There's been a hat hanging on a tree in our road for several days, unclaimed.

Cheers,

Chris

Had a bit of a laugh yesterday. Mrs B and I were sitting in an almost deserted bowling club when two elderly women came in and sat at the table next to us.

The younger one (dressed in what looked like a floral tablecloth), asked Mrs B if we were there to meet them.

Mrs B of course said, "What, no!" The flowery woman said sorry, but they were meeting people that they'd only met once, and couldn't remember what they looked like.

We assured them that we weren't those people, and they went looking elsewhere. They must have found them, cos they didn't come back.

Ye gods. You have to laugh. We both did. :worried:

They may still be wandering round the bowlo looking while their 'victims' are still hiding :hmmm:

Or maybe they just didn't like us :uneasy:

Have you checked your garden shed ?  :uneasy:
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

A day out.

Decided to go to Bundeena, a little place in the national park just south of Sydney. I drove up the coast road for a change. Plus, it's a sort of back way into the park, thus avoiding the entrance fee you get hit for if you come in off the motorway.

On the way we stopped here, great view back down the coast. Young thrill seekers jump off here on hang gliders, and yes, there have been deaths.

After a a pleasant but winding drive through thick bushland, we arrived at Bundeena, a pleasant enough place, but there's nowt there except a supermarket and RSL club. We had lunch there, but the place burned down a few years back and had to be rebuilt.

They're obviously trying to recoup money, because for an RSL club, the prices were ridiculous. A$100 for lunch and two beers! :worried:

The place has a little beach, and really is quite nice. It has a ferry service to Cronulla, a major beach suburb of Sydney. We thought about going, but a bunch of school kids on those stupid fat tyred e-bike things turned up to get on an already crowded boat, so we thought better of it.

Still, a pleasant day out and a bit of a change from the usual routine.

By the way, if you zoom in on that picture of Bealman (Heaven forbid, you sorry soul), you might make out the seacliff bridge to his right in the photo. This is regarded as a local Wollongong engineering marvel, and indeed, it is impressive. It's used in many  TV adverts, mainly for cars.

Had never heard of Bundeena till now, looks nice.
Checked where it was on the map and found the real reason you were there..... Plane spotting as they land/take off from Sydney airport.

I've been there a few times, but weirdly there was a conspicuous absence yesterday. Not one went over all afternoon!

Which side?

Actually, I think my left is my best side.

I wouldn't be on McDonalds' side at any time. Burger King's veggie offerings are far superior....  ;)

I've never frequented a McDonald's, I'm happy to say, so I don't understand why you would order a 'meal' of burger and chips with a side of... another burger?

 ???

Cheers,

Chris

Mrs Trainfish says my best side is neither the right or left, she says the backside. I think she's a good judge

Yeah, I thought that was stupid too. Mind you I do agree that Burger King (Hungry Jacks, here... same mob) is much superior, cheaper too.
