I've just had a call from Andrea of Dapol Collectors Club requesting my payment details for the club exclusive Class 66 779 'Evening Star'. So if you provided card details/undated cheque way back when, you should expect a surprise debit.

There's no news on the Dapol Digest.

I would imagine we should start receiving our models next week.

That is good news if it comes to pass.
Surprised its not on the Dapol Digest yet??
:beers:
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

I had the call this morning and I've just paid for mine.  It was nearly an expensive purchase as they typed in a couple of extra noughts on the credit card machine  :jawdropping:

Can't wait to get mine.

Nasty - another few nought and you could buy a real one!!  :) ;)

If you want a buggered one then freightliner have one that put a leg out of bed at Cropedy this week ! might be a bit cheaper.
Or at the same time the DRS/Tesco failed at Bordesley with a dead 66433 IIRC - replaced by two tractors to Wales and back... living  the dream

Good to know they have arrived

I hope the Dapol locos are more reliable than that....

Mine has just arrived in the post. It is now being ran in.

The postlady delivered mine this morning, bells in parts bag.

RailGooner

Well I left work early and a good job too, because not a half hour after getting home mine's been delivered.

I'd given up on seeing it arrive before Monday, because I'd provided my work address for delivery and confirmed this during Andrea's call on Wednesday!

I note that no one has commented on the 24 month warranty, "a first for UK RTR mass produced model railway locomotives".

Evening Star arrived and tested this morning - bootifull.
Highlighted a slight problem with my only code 80 point (large radius). Bogie drops slightly in frog 'V' plastic part and occasionally derails other end of loco.
Doesn't happen with any of my other 70 odd locos except (wait for it) MY 9F EVENING STAR
Now is that weird or what??
:) :beers:

dapol locos have had this for a few years now.

Its actually a 12 month that gets extended to 24 if you pay to get it serviced by DCC Supplies.

Shows how little attention I normally pay to the packaging.
