Got up for a wee in the night and while drifting off to sleep came up with some more!
a ream of LNER pacifics
a barrage of pom poms
a dowager of duchesses
a coronation of kings
a table of King Arthurs
a percolation of coffee pots
a case of spam-cans
I think I hear my hat & coat calling!
KISS = Keep it simple stupid

Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

daffy

As a heavy cold takes hold I find an odd few minutes to go all collective....

For early locos:

A belch of Bluchers
A clap of Thunderers
A system of Planets
     and of course
A whoosh of Rockets

Some oddments:

A wobble of wagons
A rumble of Railcars
A snore of sleepers
A conveyance of carriages
A shift of shunters

Model time:

A box of Trix
A dabble of Dapols
A fume of Farish

Sufferin' succotash!

And for,the OP's original,thought:

A haul of locomotives

- and for museum pieces

A hall of locomotives ;)
