No matter how much I twiddle the aerial we can't pick up BBC this far east. Phew.

I think my only exposure to this was at my parents' house, where they like to turn the volume ALL THE WAY UP TO ELEVEN. That and the manically grinning smiles. And the sequins. One programme I definitely will never be looking up on Peer's Torrential Library of Bits.

All is good in our household. She will be watching Strictly and X factor while I do small layout stuff (buildings, boats etc.) in the kitchen (only smoking room).

I can see the TV and don't really mind them. Can pop upstairs to the layout whenever, no questions asked. She's happy especially with the large glasses of wine I give her, then she's tired, goes to bed and I sit down to watch Mock the Week and Match of the Day. Sorted

TBH, if you use the feeble dross argument, there's virtually nothing viewable on telly at all, including the news.
