David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

Whilst having problems with the site over the last couple of weeks, I had problems with other sites, like a site took too long to respond or a site could not be reached etc. Since the problems on the forum site have been sorted out, (for which I thank you  :beers:), I do not seem to be getting errors on any other sites. I realise that, living in a very rural area like I do, I never will have a very good internet connection, but is it just a coincidence that my connection has more or less 'gone back to normal', or could the forum problems have had some effect on my internet connection  ???

Thanks for that Paul. I could not see how problems on one site could affect other sites, but then I thought, daft as it may seem, maybe there was something, a bit like a stray strand of wire shorting out the track  ???. Anyway, things seem a lot better now.

@dannyboy whilst I would love to be able to take credit for fixing your entire internet through repairing this forum, unfortunately I think it is highly unlikely and more of a coincidence I am afraid

Paul
I once told my ex-wife that, by starting a virus scan while online, she would be lucky if she was able to use her computer again for twenty years as she had just started to clean up the entire internet. She didn't talk to me for three days after she discovered I was making fun of her. It was GREAT!

There, doesn't that feel better?
Lovely!

I take that back - today the site seems to be slow one minute, then fine the next  :censored: -I seem to be getting the same messages as I had before, plus, some other sites are playing up as well  :confused2:
