HI all, Just been bought a B17 (New  but probably older stock) and yes it looks fantastic.

However front bogie front wheels are being pushed downwards on track and result is raised rear bogie wheels, BUT ONLY ON CURVES!

Any one agree with me that this is caused by the "arched mud guards" over these bogie front wheels not having enough clearance?  Should I bend the bar that holds the bogie or gently file the "mud guards" back so they don't rub on the wheels?

Anyone else had this trouble?

Any help much appreciates as bought for me by elderly mother.

PS I've checked back to back all ok.

You don't mention what radius the curves are, but it sounds like the effect you get if you try to run it on unsuitably tight curves.
In my experience, all Dapol tender locos are not keen on under 12 inch radius (R3 Set Track).

As you say that it is fine on straight track, it would suggest the bar is fine so do not fiddle with that.

Thank you for answering and giving suggestions.

In point of fact I would agree that sharp radius curves would be a problem, but what I can't work out is that the sharpest I have anywhere is the Peco 4th radius which i believe to be about 14".

The bogie doesn't even sit properly on 20" curves whic is why I am sure it is colliding with the "mudguards"
which incidentally are far closer to the wheels than on any other model I have. (almost no daylight between wheels and chassis at that point.

Beautiful runner on dead straight track.

Maybe a little gentle filing of the mud guards which are I think just cosmetic.

What do you think?
