Good news indeed and I would definitely be up for another visit to York

Just a thought, with the surgeons having to shock Mick, I wonder if he will change his forum name to Lazarus  >:D   :smiley-laughing:  :smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing:

Cheers John.

Depend on whether they shocked him with the invoice or something else  >:D

I fully expect that Mick to ditch the kettles and diesels and become a 'sparky' now that he has had a dose of electrics
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

Heaven forefend! I doubt they will have shocked the sense out of him completely! :P He's far too clever for such lunatic talk ;)

I would be one of the first to volunteer to join the next trip - I think that a kebab would be a fitting start to the evening - I love em!!

Alex

Latest news from Mick's Mum is a little mixed but mostly positive I think.

He is now on a regular ward and is feeling a little better, sleeping and eating are still providing some challenges but generally have improved.  The big fly in the ointment is that he is going to need a pacemaker fitted as the old ticker isn't quite doing it's thing.  Hopefully that will be done next week but, apparently, he wont be able drive for 6 months after fitting, don't know if it affects the sat nav or the radio  :confused1: but that is potentially a lot of shows he will miss, someone will not be a happy bunny  ;D

Anyway his Mum seemed a lot more positive about things but it could still be another week before he gets out. Fingers crossed that this next procedure goes well and he is home soon.

Thanks to those that have sent cards, I am still waiting on a couple more to arrive then I'll get them all sent down, looks like you have about a week to get them to me if you want anything sent to himself.

Thank you Lawrence.

And I hate that he has to spend extra time in hospital and needs another surgery, but he probably really does need a pacemaker, given what has been said about his heart. Having one put in is very minor compared with having to deal with the fallout of not having had it when you needed it. At any rate, I'm very glad he's improving, however slowly. Let's just hope he is back on here soon! :) At this point I am sure train withdrawl is why he is having trouble sleeping ;)
