Yes! All of that, AND, there will be a wee twitch at the edge of the lace curtain every time someone goes by outside too.....
And that's all true - as true as I am standing here riding this bike and faxing this banjo to the Queen...
"When in trouble, when in doubt, run (trains) in circles..." etc.
There, doesn't that feel better?
Lovely!

Before you say anything - I don't even have a street to stand the wee house on yet, so no corners for lamp posts to lean on while waiting for certain little plastic ladies to come by.....

Well, the window fitters came and did the job.  New windows and doors all round.  The guys were excellent!  All of the major work done in a day.  Had to wait two days for the plasterer though.  There is still a length of skirting to be fitted.  The timber for the job had been stored in a container on site and had got slightly damp so the site agent came and looked it over.  He condemned the skirting stock out of hand so they are waiting for more to arrive with the right profile.
I am delighted with the work in general but it has delayed finishing my wee house.  I still don't have the lighting installed so the roof is still loose and thus the chimney caps and stacks are not fitted.  However, since I did say that I would try to get some pics up.  Here is a single one for now, with a Metcalfe farm house for comparison.  I am not completely happy with the house.  The whole thing is a learning experience and I will probably re-do it before I am happy.  Anyhow, first effort with the Zing machine, first ever scratch build...
Have at it!

Sorry for that, that's the actual size of the pic but it's only posted coz I said I would post one.  There will be more once I get to the electrics and then get the roof/chimneys finished.....

Well I have just spent a couple of hours with the magnifying glass and I just can not see a turn style or a slot in which to put the penny......... sorry!
Seriously, it looks good. . David.
