the forum could be a good platform if the editors look in once in a while ;)

Send in a description and lots of photos to the magazine, they'll let you know if they are interested or not

Never had a layout worth submitting yet as all my previous ones were teenage thrown-together efforts, hoping the current one will make it though when it's finished  :)

They're all being too modest!

I know Elvinley was in Model Rail because I was admiring it in one of my Model Rail mags at the weekend.  I'm pretty sure H has had 2 layouts published.  There must be more...

I'll have to play 'Spot the NGF logo' in a different magazine each month! :smiley-laughing:

Hi,

I had a couple of photos of one of my early layouts published in an NGS Journal, also a couple of articles on how I do my conversions.

Wouldn't do one of the major mags as they look far too classy and out of my league.

I've seen your name crop up a lot recently Alex!  :)  I might have to get an autograph as a raffle prize!!!   :smiley-laughing:

I managed to get Sheaf a small entry in the 'Readers Layouts' section of Model Rail but thats it for me. Once Sheaf is a bit more known and had a few tweaks on it i'll be submitting it to a few mags to see if they'd be interested (Oh and of course i'll give NGF a mention).

Guilty as charged your honour!  :smiley-laughing:
My old layout, Brewhouse Yard, was in the N Gauge Society Journal 06/07 pages 40 to 45.
I was, in effect, a centrefold...  :o
No, not me, the layout!  :smiley-laughing:
Personal motto: You don't have to be mad to be a modeller, but I find it helps!

Don't think you'll get much for my scrawl.  :smiley-laughing: Unless it's a signed copy of my first book. They're selling for over £100 2nd hand unsigned. Not bad for a book that was £10 new. Pity I don't have any copies left. :(

I don't think some of you blokes give yourselves enough credit as layout builders, I have seen layouts posted on this forum that are well and truly Magazine Quality, you don't need to get your layout featured in a glossy magazine to be appreciated, just keep posting your pictures here
