Hey guys

Im on holiday over in spring hill near tampa in florida, and im wondering if there are any model railway shops around?

Can be anywhere from orlando etc aslong as i know where they are as i would like to go back with a nice new american steamer (with sound preferably!) lol

Also what will i expect to see in these shops model wise? Just purely usa stuff or do you find farish stuff etc?

Thanks

Paul

Wow thats alot! I looked at a couple of websites and they didnt seem yo have much steam in!

I would hold back on sending any money across yet as im not sure when i will get across to one then it all depends if they have the decoder in!

I will let you know when i get across to one though

Cheers

Farish is going to be rare as hen's teeth here (as with Dapol).  N is less frequent than HO, at least in stock or on display.  Mostly you'll see US lines and almost everything will be Micro Trains couplers, so if you're using Rapido at home, you'll have to plan on changing the couplers or have a transition wagon.

I usually try to find a trainshow, but I don't see one in Florida until August 22-23, so I'm guessing you'll miss that.  This is copied from MRH's latest publication: FLORIDA, THE VILLAGES, August 22-23, Summer Train Show & Sale, Savannah Regional Recreation Center, 1545 Buena Vista Blvd. Info at villagerailclubs.blogspot.com.

I'm a long way from that area, but this site might help: http://www.suncoastmrrc.com/areashops.htm/
