So I just gave my 3yr old neice her first taste of model railways!  I think she enjoyed it, I let her at the controls and she seemed to be having fun, now I need to get her her own set...

SWMBO has a 'nephew' (son of a cousin) back up in the NE, and she found out he was into 'push-along Thomas' last time she was up ... needless to say, she started correcting him into the correct classes and names    And to keep winding up the family, she's sent him a couple of 'Thomas' items he didn't have & some colouring books ...  Every time he visits his Grandma & Grandpa he wants to know if 'Aunty' has sent him anything else    Just after his b'day (we hadn't known when it was  ) he got a Princess Elizabeth t-shirt 

When he gets a bit older (think he's 4 now ?), she's planning on taking him & Grandpa to get a proper railway  - personally, I reckon 'Grandpa' is looking forwards to that more that the laddie is
