Well, Summer was nice while it lasted. Weather forecast says thunderstorms overnight at my lovely hometown, followed by torrential rain tomorrow morning. Aaah, the British weather :)
:bounce:  Woopeeeeeeee. I might be able to  breath again ::)

Ye moan when it's cold, ye moan when it's warm,
I'm sitting with my shirt off and a bottle of  fruit
cider and ice, much nicer than winter .....

By the way Lord Kelvin aka William Thomson
at the height of his fame dismissed many new
developments as having no future or being
erroneous, luckily others  paid no attention to
such twaddle otherwise we wouldn't be able to
enjoy Eastenders in 3D or microwave burgers.

Actually, I don't moan when it's cold. Many people think I'm a bit weird about it but I actually like the cold. At least if it's uncomfortably cold you can add layers and things to warm up.

Not a lot you can do about it when you're sat in your office overheating, dreaming of ice baths...

The sky now has that yellowish tinge that presages a thunderstorm, and a few rather large raindrops have fallen but it's still 28 degrees outside and 26½ degrees inside.
I actually enjoy a good thunderstorm but it seems we haven't had one up here for a long, long time.

Ah, the Lord Kelvin, that takes me back a bit, when I was a young lad I worked at the BBC Glasgow TV studios and had lodgings in Kelvin Gardens, or Grove or something like that !

And that wave over cornwall and south wales is heading eastwards...

EDIT: Oops, I've assumed again. I made the assumption because in that wave the white dots are focussed on the right. Going onto the website and watching the animation, it's actually clearly heading North...

It's all a matter of taste,  a Lidl microwave burger with
some chili relish is the bees knees , cat pyjamas etc,
about £1.75 for two........ :food:

and the Cornwall blob is fading out ? it was, earlier today, as intense as that stuff over Newcastle / NE.
Been a while since there was that much activity, and then there was pics on the evening news of houses being set alight  etc., so I hope everyone has escaped it today :(

Not sure what all the fuss is about !
Down here we barely reached 18 degrees today and generally overcast with a brisk cool wind !
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Yep, in the west of Scotland it was pleasantly warm and hazy,
judging by some of the posts  half the forum members
must live in Death Valley. The only things buckling here
are the knees of winos.... ;D
