Identifying Modelscene Figure Poses

Hi guys,

I bought today some of the Modelscene unpainted figures (set B) and need some help identifying what the people are supposed to be (passengers, workers etc), their sex, and what they are supposed to be doing please! It may also prove useful for others in the future.

I've numbered them 1-20 left to right across the top and then bottom row of the picture at the bottom of the post:

1. Female. Passenger. Carrying luggage.
2. Male. Passenger. Carrying luggage.
3. Male. Passenger?
4. Male. Passenger?
5. Male. Worker. Leaning on something.
6. Male?
7. Male. Worker. Carrying sledgehammer.
8. Male. Worker. Carrying brush.
9. Male. Worker. Pointing?
10. Male. Worker. Carrying sacks.
11. Female. Passenger. Sitting with coat.
12. Boy?
13. ?
14. Female. Passenger. Sitting.
15. Male. Passenger. Sitting + hugging other figure?
16. Female. Passenger. Carrying luggage.
17. Female. Passenger. Carrying luggage.
18. Female. Passenger. Carrying luggage.
19. Female. Passenger. Carrying luggage + umbrella.
20. Female. Passenger. Carrying luggage + coat.

I've put '?'s next to ones I'm unsure of! Feel free to correct me on others as well!

Not sure, but the lower 10 figures must be from the Southern Hemisphere

I think it's better to ignore any planned poses and make what you want of them. If they look like they could be doing something they you can make them do that. With care you can also adjust them, remove shovels etc or glue things onto them.

I throw most of the figures I end up with into a little drawer and when I need one just fish about for something that can be made to fit. Hopefully it makes them a bit different to every other layout.

The third from the left for example looks to me like you could make it into

- holding onto handrail
- pushing a lift button
- opening a door
- holding a dog on a lead
- putting their ticket through one of those annoying gates

etc...

the one with the big shovel is useful too as you can cut it back and make him do just about anything involving a tool on a pole, or even trim it back and run a thin line of wire and he's holding a hosepipe.
